The smash hit show ran for 125 performances in Los Angeles and for 9 months Off Broadway in New York and two 6 month runs in Chicago to massive media attention, critical acclaim and dozen upon dozens of rave reviews. An LA Times's Critic's Choice, this look at the life and battles of the most groundbreaking and controversial comedian of all time, Lenny Bruce, not only draws from his many court battles championing the freedom of speech but also includes many of Bruce's original comedic bits and insights from his own writings, masterfully woven together by the show's creator and star, Ronnie Marmo and expertly directed by Tony Award winning stage actor, film and television star, Joe Mantegna.
Theatre 68 is a twenty two year old, bi-coastal theatre company.
Started in Los Angeles with only 68 cents, we have expanded to opening world premieres of works by
the talented Neil LaBute, Sam Henry Kass, and John Patrick Shanley.
We proudly devote one evening a week to building and maintaining our identities as artists,
while creating and developing new work to showcase.
