THEATRE 68?

ONGOING AUDITIONS:

Seeking Actors, Writers, Directors, and Producers to join Theatre 68!

Artistic director states: "We are looking for dedicated, open-minded, and talented individuals interested not only in acting, but in writing, producing, and directing as well. Theatre 68 nurtures artists in all aspects of theatre. We believe in creating your own work instead of waiting in line for the phone to ring.

Every Monday night from 7-10 p.m we meet for what we call our 'Actor’s Gym.' This is where we work out as actors, doing improv, cold reads, prepared scene work, etc. It is much like a structured class yet everyone has a voice and you are given a space to create every Monday. Amongst other scheduled evenings, we conduct a Director and Producer Workshop annually and are minimally assigned two writing assignments a year, one being a monologue to be performed in events such as our annual Bi-Coastal Monologue Jam and our One Act Play Festival.

Please note: We are a dues-paying company. Being a member of our company is a cost-effective alternative to investing in a class. Once you are a member in L.A. or New York, you are grandfathered into being a member on both coasts. We have been honored to have been joined by special guest speakers such as Tony Award winner, Joe Mantegna; award-winning playwright, Neil LaBute; and NY casting director, Donna McKenna, to name a few.

L.A. is in our 24th year of creating amazing theater and just opened a new venue in North Hollywood. New York just turned 13 on Aug. 29th and is based in our brand new space in Manhattan! We recently partnered with MCS in midtown and have 2 incredible new spaces to perform and thrive artistically. We have a long-standing commitment to the arts and are growing and evolving in this ever-changing climate.
